Important Notice: Email Update Information - 3/29/2004
Printable Version
We apologize for the temporary e-mail outages experienced this last week.
Due to several critical hardware failures over this time, a decision was
made by our technicians to transfer all CatholicWeb e-mail services to
the CompBiz, Inc. mail servers. CompBiz (www.compbiz.net) is the development
and technical support company for CatholicWeb.com and its customers. The
owner of CompBiz, Don Schreiner, is the founder and owner of CatholicWeb.com.
The
CompBiz email servers are newer, very stable, and more robust than the
previous CatholicWeb.com server!
Important
Notes:
-
Temporarily, those customers who use Web Mail for their unique domain
names will see the CompBiz Web mail logo upon logon. Today and tomorrow
this logo will be changed back to the CatholicWeb.com logo or domain
name specific logo. Upon logon you will still access your e-mail account
as normal.
-
If
you logged on and did not see your e-mails prior to the disruption
of service, please logon again as all accounts were again restored
late Sunday evening on 03/28/2004. If you are missing important e-mail
that was received over this last weekend, please let us know by emailing
helpdesk@catholicwebhelp.com
with your e-mail address and we can restore to your account in a subfolder.
-
If
you are experiencing connection problems, it may be because your internet
service provider's DNS informaion (Domain Name Server) has not yet
updated to the new e-mail server. This will usually be updated within
24 hours but can take up to 48 hours.
If you
are still experiencing difficulties, please make sure that you check your
e-mail account settings as follows:
User
Name: Enter Your Full E-mail Address (i.e. user@catholicweb.com)
Password:
Your e-mail address password.
POP3 (Incoming
Mail Server): Enter mail.yourdomain.com (i.e. mail.CatholicWeb.com)
SMTP (Outgoing
Mail Server):
the SMTP address provided to you by your ISP (i.e. smtp-server.cfl.rr.com,
smtp.earthlink.com, etc.)
If you
are still experiencing difficulties, please write our support department
by clicking
here.
Thank
you for your patience during this transition.
